Our Origin
Materex Bakery was born from a straightforward observation: Port Harcourt — a city of millions — deserved a local bread bakery that took the craft seriously. Not a bread brand shipping from Lagos. Not a product that had been in transit for days before landing on a shelf. A Port Harcourt bakery, baking for Port Harcourt people.
Under the Zubitex Foods name, we established our production facility at No. 5 Bakery Close, Rumukwuchi, Shell Pipe Line, Port Harcourt. From a focused start, we have grown our range to eight distinct products. What has never changed is the standard: fresh ingredients, consistent process, and a product we are proud to put on the table.
